Bali to be World’s top destination by 2011
Bali is to be one of the top 10 destinations, if not #1 in the world, by 2011. That is the goal of local travel industry big wigs.
The Bali Times reports, that even though Bali has been hit with 2 major terrorist attacks in the last 4 years, it still beats Hawaii and Thailand every year, in many internationally recoginized polls. Building on that success, making sure that Bali is still the Best island in the World’, and attracts higher spending tourists, is a major goal.
Badung Deputy Regent, I Ketut Sudikerta, said this week the local government were commited to putting laws in place that will support the growing tourist industry, including dealing with the sewage problem caused by unlicenced villas.
