Almost everyday I read articles in Indonesian media about rallies in Jakarta / Kalimantan, protesting Israeli aggresion in Lebanon. Today Antara news reports 2,000 Indonesians are ready to fly to Lebanon and meet their maker.
According to Antara, a wealthy Malaysian businessman has sponsored 72 members of Jihad Bombing Fighters, an Indonesian group, to go over there. The route they take is Indonesia-Malaysia-Syria. I guess there’s no need for a return ticket, so flights don’t need to be negotiable.
Here in Bali nobody has mentioned Lebanon, it’s as if we’re on an island.

Or even on thier little island.
To bad the mad Austrian didnt have more trains so we wouldnt have a middle east problem
Why are we worried about the middle east??
only americans should be worrying!!!
>> Why are we worried about the middle east??

Fine with that attitude.
Now don’t cry and beg for help from outside whenever Bali runs into crisis (again).
We’re not living in vacuum.
But don’t you think it’s actually a bad thing?
I mean, it gives the impression that the balinese people are ignorant to the world issues, and don’t give a damn about injustice / sufferings happening outside their little island.
At very least, balinese people, should be concerned by this kind of agression (by the israelis), who’s unique interest is to destabilize middle-east (for their own sake).
