sari club site kuta baliMy friend Dallas Finn, Director of Bali Peace Park, sent me some recent photos. Dallas has a plan, to turn the Sari Club site into a permanent memorial to the Kuta Bombings of 2002. Anyone who has met Dallas knows him to be an exuberant fellow, with a smile on his face and a good nature. It hasn’t been easy getting this project to move along, but he’s not quitting. I feel so lucky to know all these cool people, who do things for others, including Dallas, Chimene, many of the other peoep I’ve met through Baliblog, who have their own pet charity project.

ground zero kuta baliThe Sari Club site, is located at the junction of Jl. Legian and Poppiies Lane II, in Kuta. After the bombing in October 2002, the rubble was cleared away to leave a bare patch of ground, which became overgrown with weeds. Yesterday, Dallas organized a tree planting, a step in the right direction.

Feel free to contact Dallas via his website, for background info, press releases and other details. If you are coming to Bali and want to help, speak to Dallas. I know he’d appreciate any media interest, as it all leads to a good cause.
