Bali Nine: A clear piece of common sense

The Australian media as well as the British and US media, frequently throw out a lot of bollocks when it come down to issues about nationality and sovereignty. The Schapelle Corby Case was a wonderul example of people ignoring the facts, and pissing in their drawers because a cute girl was caught trafficking drugs.

Listen to Corby’s mother, for perfectly illogical reasons why she should be set free. Like an oasis in the desert, Dr Mirko Bagaric talks about the case of the Bali Nine, who’s situation suddenly looks even worse (and that was hard!). Dr Mirko Bagaric talks about responsibility, proportionality and transnational offences. Interesting reading and food for thought.

These people are dummies for sure, but that doesn’t mean Indonesia doesn’t have a corrupt legal system which hands out ridiculous sentences.
