Recently I wrote some stuff about visas in Indonesia, one of which being the Retirement Visa.
To qualify for this you must be over 55 and have a whole set of items to check of, including a stack of money in the bank, insurance etc. Today I met someone who recently got a Retirement Visa here in Bali. He told me he did not have to jump through all the hoops and that everything went smoothly. “But according to the regulations you have to spend at least $500 per month on rent.” I said. He said they don’t check and its cool. Good news for those planning to retire in Bali.
