Wednesday midday Ika and I took a taxi to Denpasar to have a consultation at Puri Bunda, the private hospital where the baby will be born in a couple of weeks. Puri Bunda is located on Jl. Gatot Subroto VI #19 and our 20 minutes ride cost 26,000rp in a Bluebird taxi from Seminyak. There are 4 levels of rooms and we are getting the second type that gives us a lounge area. If Ika has to stay in for a couple of days it will be a big boost for her to have her friends visit. Lately she has been feeling the extra weight and isn't as sprightly on her feet as she was the first several months. I often ask her "How is baby doing?" to which she will reply, "Baby sleeping." or "Baby naughty, always want to run."
The lobby area at Puri Bunda is modern and neat, the receptionists looking like the concierge at a big hotel. We were shown upstairs to another waiting area and our schedule today was to pay the rest of the deposit (1.5m rp), take another look at the room (Ika has seen it before) and get a scan of the baby. Tea and coffee were available although I did not feel like any more after the strong cup I had at home (I have trained Ika by the way and she knows exactly how I like it). So many people in the Kuta and Seminyak area have asked me if the baby has been born, I am looking forward to when I can show them.

Great idea getting a lounge thingie with your room. All the rellies and friends can havea party. Hey, perhaps you could wheel your BBQ into the room and have a get-together!
