Magic is something that like humor and music, crosses cultural barriers. Kids and adults alike love to see a magic trick. My recent visit to Las Vegas enabled me to stop into Houdini’s magic shop at New York New York. My 2 tricks were the ‘flying card trick’ where you can make a playing card, credit card or coin, rise from the table, or fly around in circles, and the ‘2-coin trick’ where you do the old ’switcheroo’ making one coin swap places with the other. I also picked up a couple of joke tricks, both in the shape of a chewing gum pack.
The first gives out an electric shock, the other squirt a shot of water. Yesterday I went out on patrol with the chewing gum squirter and found willing victims. The staff at Santa Fe fell for it as did the staff at Cirlcle K. One Satpam (security guard) caught a jet of water in the eye. He laughed about it afterwards. Last night the 2-coin trick was firing on all cylinders and no one could spot how I made the coins change position.
Great fun and here in Bali you will always get a reaction.

G’Day Nick,
Your coin trick is great and to this day, Candika still doesn’t know how you did it.
