Lunch at Warung Batavia with Cody & Jeff

This lunch time I hit Warung Batavia again. Warung Batavia serves the javanese version of Indoneisan food which tends to be manis (sweet) rather than pedas (hot). The reason I chose Batavia is that I had agreed to help Cody and Jeff from Oklahoma, look for a new place to live. These guys are living put in Canggu and want to be downtown.

Straight of I pointed out the bulletin board on the back wall and told them to check out every cafe and waring that is frewquented by westerners, including Cafe Moka, Global Xtreme, Warung Gossip, Bali Deli etc . etc. The good thing about going about it this way is you can get straight to the owner, rather than going through a middle man.

Cody and Jeff both got nasi goreng, a dish I only eat occassionally if I cannot find anything better on the menu. My food contained eggplant, jackfruit, kangkung, satay ayam and ikan laut. Enak!!! Jeff paid so I have no idea of the cost. (Probably between 20,000-25,000rp).
