Jevon is almost 6 months old. He was born on June 30th in Denpasar weighing a healthy 3.86kg (8.6lb). Since that time his diet consisted of susu ibu (mother’s milk) and bottled milk. He prefers it straight from the tap.

Over thwe last several weeks Javon has been getting bubur (rice porridge 3 times a day. In the morning it vegetable porridge, then fruit, then some other kind. The little monkey loves it and finishes his bowl.

Carrying him to Cafe Seminyak this morning using the sling, I can feel how he has gained and wonder how Ika manages to lit him in the air. Ika reckons he can say ‘Mum’ which in Javanese means ‘food’. Today at Cafe Seminyak he liked looking at the cars and motorbikes, and didn’t cry, which was cool because I did not have bottle with me. A year from now we’ll be taking slow stroll to Cafe Seminyak. Maybe he can carry my bag for me.
