You can't keep a good girl down and Ika is still doing the daily chores like cleaning my clothes and cooking her own food. We expect the birth to be anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks away and she is staying active and keeping her spirits up. That belly is growing and over the last month Ika has been moving slower and takes her time getting up the stairs. One of the funny patterns we've gotten into, is us both going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. My bathroom and kitchen are both on the ground floor and at night the garden is very dark. Ika told me she feels scared to go down on her own and waits till morning. I told her no worries, if someone attacks you just make a lot of noise and I'll be down. Actually I usually get up to and make a pit stop myself.
Today Ika was getting her clothes ready for hospital and is feeling very good. No real signs of contractions but we know its all coming soon.

You keep rubbing that belly and get your fill now, because you’ll miss rubbing it the day after, when the belly is gone and back to normal.

Lovely Nely! I wish you and Pat all the best too. For those who don’t know Nely, she has an amazing story. She worked for the UN in E.Timor as a translator. On the night of the Bali Bombing Nely was inside the Sari Club with 13 friends from Australia and Portugal. One of them wanted cigarettes and Nely said “Don’t buy them in here, too expensive, better go to Circle K.” She went 50 meters down the street to buy them and during that time the Sari Club exploded. Nely never saw any of her friends again.
