Far away from Bali right now

Sitting here in Portland Oregon I am in a totally different world than my usual one in Seminyak Bali. I think the tropical heat tends to slow people down and the humid climate makes the pores in my skin open. Here in Oregon it's cold in November and the decreased light takes some getting used to. A change is as good as a rest and working with Sean, Chris and the other people in our office feels like a breath of fresh air.

Being far away from Ika and Jevon is something I can deal with for a month, although being around for every stage in his development is important. I am learning that babies grow more aware with each passing month, they notice sounds, then sights, then start to reach out for things, and then try to roll over and crawl.

Oregon has lovely clean air, organic food and Portland is a really cool city. I am totally out of the western dating, partying and social scene and seeing the world of Sean and Chris for a while is fun. We have a blog for Portland, its a great place!
