XMAS plans in Seminyak Bali

The latest from Seminyak on Christmas eve, is that Ika, Jevon and I are going to Sanur to have a little bbq with Mike Hillis and his family. The Jakarta Post and other sources suggested that JI (Jemaah Islamiyah) might try to kidnap important westerners over the festive season. I’m not exactly an ‘important westerner’, but if anyone from JI is listening, Wayan So Big (Mike) and Made In England (me) will be making some smoke in Sanur later this afternoon.

Out on Jl. Dhyana Pura last I ate a Sin City. They will be having a New Years party, as will every other place on the street. Across from Sin City a new place called Obsession claims it a world music venue. We’ll find out. It has just recently opened in time for New Years. Jl. Dhyana Pura will be blocked of on New Years and the street will be a zoo.

Christmas day we will be going to Palu’s at Dreamland. I’ll pick up some wine from the place on the Bypass heading to Sanur. I can get Aussie wine for cheap and liquor too. Whatever happens, I am super thankful that I will have no preparations at all for Christmas and New Years.

Today I got a sms from an employee at Bahiana, a bar on Jl. DP. They have a party tonight at 11pm. Nothing stops the party here in Bali.
