Monday night I shot down to Kuta and picked up a t-shirt for Ika at Surfer Girl on Jl. Legian. The shirt was actually from the shop in front of Surfer Girl. Reason being was that all Surfer Girl’s gear is for big fat ‘bules’, none of the sizes fit Indonesians, so the staff told me. The t-shirt I bought was around 160,000rp, to which I added 3 bars of Cadbury’s chocolate that Ika likes.

This morning she was very happy. I’m not a big player when it comes to buying into commercial holidays, I got around Christmas by saying that we are Muslim, and got around Ramadan by leaving the country.

This evening Ika, Jevon & went to dinner at a place on Jl. Oberoi called Taste. Its a romantic little place for all you single guys, and the food is good. Basically the chef used to work at Warisan and copied the menu. I had a pesto tuna with mashed potato, Ika going for snapper. My meal was 32,000rp I think and very good.

Jevon gave me the final treat by throwing up on my lap, but that’s all part of parenthood.

I’m not too much into that part of parenthood.

No nannies in Bali?
