There is a flu bug going around in Bali right now and I know people who have had it for a month. I have a sinus infection, which is no big deal, but Ika and Jevon have it too. Jevon cries more than normal and the other day I saw Ika trying to insert his dummy (pacifier). "Why are you doing that?" I asked. "He's crying because he can't breathe through his nose." She said. "You think it's a good idea to put a dummy in his mouth right now?" I said. There's no accounting for logic, maybe Jevon was crying because he was being choked. I don't worry about it and let them work it out.
This evening Ika and Anna the new pembantu wanted to take Jevon to the doctor at Puri Bunda. Here in Indonesia it's a tradition that the mother and father go to the doctor with the child so I was obliged to attend. He has a chest infection and will get antibiotics. We all know that from the start and 1 of us could have gone. But no worries, living in a different country means jumping through some hoops and I hope Jevon gets better.
