Sweating like an Indo cop on a lie detector
Man its a steamer today! My internet connection isn’t working, probably due to the power supply to the antenna. The plugs out here are so loose, which ever way I rig it, the flow doesn’t seem reliable. Sitting here at the internet cafe next to Circle K on Jl. Dhyana Pura, I smell like an armpit.
The rate here is 12,000rp per hour, which is average. The AC is not on, so I’m getting a free sauna along with my mail. Visiting Global in Kerobokan today I managed to get some stuff done, but sat next to a very frustrated expat, who didn’t.
Hope to take Jevon and Ika over to meet Angie later today. Great to meet people and hang out, but I feel like a rat on a wheel with this posting stuff.

Nick- you used to do one post a day and then you went to this new system & do several posts per day. The present format is a little more inconvenient. I used to be able to access the day’s & the previous days posts very quickly, now it is not possible to access quickly or to refer back to the day where I made a comment to see what additional comments were made. Maybe less posts with more content per day would keep you from feeling like a rat on a wheel. You do keep Bali fresh on many of our minds & close to our hearts even though we may not comment very often. You have been doing this so long now that going out to eat or for a walk is ordinary for you. Still wonderful & special for all of us Bali-philes. Thank you for keeping it up, day after day & year after year.
Your story made me laugh. I have just moved to Bali to work here for the next two years from the UK, just getting used to my surroundings and the way things work here. I am working at a health spa just outside Ubud, which is amazing . any tips on places to go would be helpfull.
Thanks
Nova
