Sunday in Seminyak Bali

Sunday evening Jevon was crying more than usual and Ika thinks he might have a fever. I went out to get food for her from Warung Murah, the simple looking place on Jl. Double Six that knocks out great food. Her packet of rice, multiple vegetables, tempe and shrimp cost 11,000rp. I ate there earlier today and had piles of potatoes, a huge chicken breast, fish and veg for an equally decent price.

Ika is so sweet, the other night we want out for dinner at the Manado style food place in Seminyak, then I suggested we go to JP's Warung to listen to live music. She got all excited and when the band, Saharaja, had finished a song said "When we celebrate the married, after 10 or 25 years I want to invite them to play." I said that Saharaja are not likely to be together in 25 years, but I like the sentiment.

This evening I went down to C'Bo, the Italian place on the corner of Jl. Dhyana Pura and Jl. Seminyak. Ordering a salad and a glass of red wine I was able to type on my Alpha Smart while looking down onto the street from the second floor. My garden salad contained good lettuce, olives, sun dried tomatoes, bell peppers, tomatoes and Italian dressing. It was large and delicious for 15,000rp (US$1.50). I realized one thing while typing this article, I love red wine. It's a novelty out here, but it tastes so good after not having any for a while. Maybe I need to hit up that liquor distributor in Sanur sometime.
