Since Sean has been here from Oregon we have been very consistent in the places we have been eating at. Our lunch spot has been Ryoshi in Seminyak which is located on Jl. Seminyak close to Bintang supermarket.
We like Ryoshi because it offers a decent level of Japanese food for an affordable price.
Today we invited my wife Ika and her sister Ningrum to join us. They were a bit unsure on Japnese food but I assured them rice was on the menu.
Although Ryoshi is on the main street they were smart enough to make the place air-con and that also means the street noise is kept outside.
While getting seated we saw a friend of ours, Aseem from Montreal Canada who owns Hammerhead gym among other things. Aseem is a super nice guy who is always fun to talk to and actually has a wholesale jewelry export company.
Sean and I ordered a green tea, miso and a sushi tray called a pisang (banana)each. Ika and Ningrum ordered a shrimp dish, tempura and rice, plus 2 orange juices. The food was pretty good and our whole bill came to 205,000rp (about $6 a head).
Ryoshi maybe is not the most fancy Japanese place but offers value. They have outlets in Sanur, Kuta, Legian, Nusa Dua, Tirtaganga and Gili Trawangan.

Great to read and see that one of our favourite spots seems to be still the same.
I can’t wait till September to be back in Bali, doing all the things we love to do there (one of them is eating Sushi at Ryoshi).Especially as we had to cancel our trip last year.
By the way, Baliblog is getting better and better. I think that especially the seach option is much better now. The new layout of your daily entries is great, too. Now they really have a magazine-like-look.
Cheers,
Adriana
