A few days ago while shopping at Ace Hardware in Kuta Galleria, I spotted a bin full of electric bug swatters. They were on sale for 25,000rp so I bought one. These new ones were heavier and fancier than my old one, which finally fell apart after many whacks against walls and chairs. Checking it out at home I found it didn't work and a few days later I took it back. Ika told me that in Indonesia they print on receipts that defective goods cannot be returned. "I'm not asking them, I'm telling them." I said. With this forewarning I walked into Ace, grabbed a new one and at the counter said "My one doesn't work so I'm changing it." Actually there was no problem and I was on my way.
At my house we get bird sizes nyamuk (mosquitoes) and I use various tools to discourage them from eating me. A coil placed on the outside of my porch forms a kind of barrier for them between the garden and the bedroom. A net over the bed can help as well as a fan. I apply some of Barrie's menthol oil to my ankles and that really works. Mosquitoes like dark places so spraying under the bed and behind cupboards has some effect. The bug swatter is the last item. The great thing about it is if all the others have failed and a psycho mozzie just won't go away I can locate and kill him in seconds.
Last night while hunting one that was flying around my head I managed to shock myself. The new racket packs more punch and the charging pins protrude at the bottom of the handle. The racquet is made for right handers, but if a lefty like me uses it, contacts the pins at the same time as pressing the button, he will get a big charge into the arm.
If you are touring Bali it's a good idea to pick up a racquet. There is nothing worse than being in guest house with 2 or 3 mozzies and trying to sleep.

Where do i get Barries Menthol Oil Thanks
Hi Nick
Just left Bali a few days ago… headed to China where I make rackets. Your comments are great. I plan to ship our Jolt zappers to Bali where they will be advertsied in the Bali Trader. These are the best out there as I spent a great deal of time researching manufacturers throughout Asia in 2003. In 2005 they are now selling worldwide and are getting rave reviews. For those not on Bali, type into Google ‘Executioner zapper rackets’ or ‘Jolt Zapper rackets’ for links and you can buy online worldwide and get a full year warranty.
Best of luck.
