Meeting Mick and Upi in Kerobokan Bali

Late Saturday afternoon I got a call from an old mate, Mick Turnbull, from Victoria. Mick used to live in Bali and was a legend to many of us, not only for being a partying champion, but also for having his act together and being a great guy.

Anyway I rode over after dark to the house of another friend of ours where Mick an Upi were staying. Mick works as an engineer for Cathay Pacific, and the last 3 years have seen him live in Bali, Osaka Japan and Delhi India. Needless to say, as a westerner Bali had no comparison, and Mick decided to return to Australia, not before marrying the lovely Upi (former flight attendent for Garuda). My camera is not working so no photos, but take my word for it, Mick and Upi looked great.

We got into the red wine and after that was over the vodka came out. Was a great time checking out Micks photos and laughing about the past, and some of the crazy people we’ve met. I got home very late and will hook up with Mick and Upi sometime in the next few days.
