Tony, this is the first thing that you have said so far that is getting close to your truth. You don’t get it, no you don’t, we all knew that & now you do too. Here is a clue to “getting it”….the prize is the life you live before you die. These people are living the life of their choice filled with the wealth of love & belonging & being connected to the spirit within & the greater spirit of all living things. If you don’t have what they have YOU are destitute “Loot” didn’t make Howard Hughes happy & innumerable other “wealthy” people have even one moment of joy. Why are you trying so hard to force others to view the world like you do? I think it is clear that so far you have not converted anyone to your way of thinking. You are wasting everyone’s time and your’s too.

Chris-he needs more than luck, he does need a lot of work and for now he is just about as annoying as a bot-fly. His type of personality feeds off of any of our negative comments, it reinforces his very limited view of his world. You know we(Baliblog readers) are all playing a wonderful game of “Let’s have fun (& share how much we love Bali”), he stepped into our game & is playing a different game called ” I win, you lose, SUCKER!!” What his unevolved brain & spirit don’t know is that there are no winners to that negative, mud sucking game, only losers. You have to feel sorry for someone as damaged as him, let us hope that somewhere along his path he makes choices that will bring him understanding & joy, instead of the spiritless void he now inhabits.

He does not understand that we are not a homogenous bunch. Each of us has different view of the world and life. Some like living close to nature, and some don’t. It is called diversity.

We all search for happiness in our own way. If we can accept that Tony like whoring-up while in Bali, why can’t he understand that Norm, Linda, Richard and Rebecca are obviously happy living the way they do?

Tony, you should embrace diversity rather than fight it. And stop trying to belittle other people who are unlike you.

Chris-of course I am dead on, Human Behavior is the only A that I earned in medical school & I have honed my skills in the 20 years that I have been in family practice, 80% of the patients that I see have a behavioral etiology to their dis-ease. The more he posts to this blog the more information he reveals about his personality. I imagine that we have all been just watching & hoping that he would just go away, doesn’t look like that is going to happen. The statement he made above was so very revealing I was compelled to comment. Radar-notice that it is only the negative stuff that he will respond endlessly to, because he feeds on it, ignoring him won’t make him go away. Ask yourself what kind of person would say “you people would live like me if you could afford it”, that is someone with some serious issues. If I am not mistaken there is a popular american TV show with one of the characters named Tony Soprano, there is a big clue right there to what is wrong with the picture/person. It wasn’t a chain jerk but a tear jerk, I just felt a wave of pity for someone that obviously disturbed & offered him a pearl of wisdom.

Tony-I will not play that game with you, since you are curious to know what is wrong make an appointment with a psychiatrist in your area, one that actually is interested in therapy, not just medications. Make copies of your comments on this blog & give them to the doctor to read and that will get you through the awkward introduction part of your first visit. It will help them to see what direction the therapy needs to go to give you the most benefit.

As a teacher, it is my responsibility to watch for signs of psychological troubles with my students. Anti-social behaviours such as aggression, empathy, greed, and viciousness (like those described by Tony) are telltale signs that I am trained to look out for in kids. In the 25 years that I have been in my profession, I have seen many troubled kids. Many of these kids were victims of abuses, which may include verbal, physical and even sexual attacks by their friends, siblings, relatives or even parents.

I have read Tony’s messages and it is my conclusion that Tony fits the profile of a troubled kid, or someone with a troubled past. It is quite possible be he was severely abused as a child. If that is the case then he needs to seek psychological help immediately.

Tony, you will hate me for writing this, but it is for your own good.

Victims of sexual abuse are often reluctant to seek help, and most are in the state of denial. Those suffered abuses perpetrated by close relatives are in the worse state of denial. They feel shame and guilt for the abuses they suffered. They want to forget so they can move on with their lives. They also want to spare other family members from embarrassments and public humiliation.

Anti-social behaviours that a sexually abused person may exhibit are: (please note that the items on the list are not mutually exclusive)

1. Empathy, greed, and viciousness

2. Physical, verbal (oral or written), and sexual aggressions.

3. Low social skills.

4. Difficulty in getting along with other people.

5. Fear of getting into serious long-term sexual relationships

6. Excessive sexual urges.

7. Excessive urged to release sexual pressures on prostitutes

Tony, you may be in the state of denial at this point. I only hope that he would wake up and get help someday. Good bless you, mate.

Your opinions on Tony’s physiological state are interesting to say the least. Sorry Tony, I have to agree with Tim and Cathleen’s assessments.

In the sexual abuse cases that you all have handled, tell us who most likely abusers are? I read that in most sexual abuse cases, the fathers are the most likely aggressors. What is your take on that? Is it possible that Tony’s own father probably abused and sodomized him?

Sexual abuses or molestations don’t always end with physical penetration of the victims’ private parts by the abusers. Molestations can be simple acts of touching and kissing victims’ private parts, but nonetheless these acts are diabolical and destructive in nature.

I do not know if his own father molested Tony, nor do I know if he actually sodomized Tony - although it is quite possible. You are correct though in saying that when the molesters and the victims are both males, sodomy is usually the case.

When molestations happen to very young victims, it is quite possible that the victims later grow up with no memory of the experience at all. It’s a simple survival trick: the mind simply chooses to forget bad experiences and go on with life. It is quite possible that Tony was molested when he was a very young, so that he does not remember at all now.

Tony, I am not trying to stigmatize sexual abused victims. Most abused victims go on their lives as normal people and they do not show the physiological traits like yours. But those who do show similar behavioural pattern like yours, are most likely victims of molestations in their past. Take care, and may God bless you mate.

Let me in on this one.

I don’t think Tim was trying to defeat Tony in an argument. Heck, I don’t see him arguing with anyone here. Tim was merely using his long and extensive experience in dealing with abuse cases to help Tony.

I think Tim was saying that there were probably reasons behind Tony’s bizarre behaviour, which were not entirely Tony’s faults. If you read Tim’s comments carefully, you will see that Tim did not come to his conclusion based solely on Tony’s excessive whoring activity. Tim was saying that Tony’s entire behavioral pattern fits the profile of a molested victim.

I know that you also don’t think highly of Tony yourself, but don’t you think he is entitled to get help just like anyone? If your son behaves like Tony, wouldn’t you be worried too?

John I disagree. Tim states that he is a Teacher and thinks that qualifies him as a Phyciatrist and even if he was he is still not qualified to make a diagnois without seeing and examining Tony.They both could be victims of sexual abuse but who are we to make that medical judjement. I can understand if Tony tells Tim I haver this problem can you help me and any help that Tim could offer would be wellcome. The true secret of giving advice is to do it honestly and with good intentions. After having done so, be totally indifferent whether is taken or not. Trying to set people ‘right’ does not always work.

Kevin, the Scotland Yard’s physiatrists and physiologists make those diagnoses all the time without having seen the criminals, and they are usually bloody accurate. Just because they don’t have the identity of a serial killer or a terrorist does mean that they cannot build an accurate psychological profile of him/her. I am sure the AFP do that too.

So what are saying here John based on your review of Tim’s assessment Tony is a criminal. How do you draw that conclusion. If Tim was sincere he would have reached out to Tony in a sincere and helpfull manner, not publicly diagnosing him so that if he started with a problem NOW he is also Paranoid.Maybe Scotland Yard, AFP,FBI and CIA should spend more time on old fashioned detective work because cameras caught the London Bombers, Polisi caught the Bali Bombers and as for the Twin Tower Bombers they are still free with all the physiatic,forensic,clairvoyance help available.
