Do I have a split personality, or am I just super hungry? The answer is neither. This year I have an invite from my mate Mike Hillis, to join him and his family in Sanur on the 24th for Christmas dinner. I don’t know what the food is going to be, but told Mike I’d like to contribute to the occassion. It will be Ika and Jevon’s first Christmas and I want to give them a taste of the cultural significance. Not being religious myself, (either Christian or Muslim), I’m not trying to get into that aspect of why Christmas exists. The fact is that in a global economy, Christmas is celebrated, and being at least familiar doesn’t hurt. Okay enough of the BS, I want to eat turkey and drink red wine.
While out and about in Legian I bumped into Gary Hewson from Kori Restaurant on Poppies II. They are doing a great Christmas dinner on the 25th. I want to get down there and make double sure I get some turkey. Ika and Jevon are double lucky this year. Kori has excellent food and if you are in Bali for Christmas, I highly recommend you get down there for Christmas dinner. There are 3 0r 4 different options one breing turkey, another barramundi. The price is approximately 310,000rp per head. I’ll be there and we’ll have a party together.
