Since yesterday’s drama with my power regulator, things have picked up here in Seminyak.
I get my internet connection through Blueline which has been generally good, but a little patchy over the last couple of months. I’d get kicked offline several times a day, which would interupt what I was doing. Since getting the new Stavol my connection has been great, which shows it wasn’t a connection problem at all, it was a power problem. My antenna on the roof connects to the Stavol, as does my laptop. When the plug adaptors, or the Stavol were not working properly the antenna’s power got cut off, and so did I.
People moving to Bali. Very important to use a voltage stabilizer on expensive hardware due to the unstable current.
Things are running smoooth right now, and Blueline is doing a good job.

You seem very biased at promoting blueline. Fact is none of the ISPs in Bali are doing a good job. Rates for “hi-speed” are many multiples of what the cost is in other SE Asian countries – and using the word Hi-Speed is joke in Bali compared to what is available in other SE countries where for lower price u can get 5x the speed available in Bali.
Wonder if the corrupt business environment has anything to do with this take a look at http://www.baliwireless.com ! and see what happens when someone tries to promote a superior service at a lower price. Makes you wonder whether some of the more established ISPS had anything to do with Candi nets demise??
