A return visit to Puri Bunda hospital in Denpasar Bali

ning070805.jpgOne week after the birth of Jevon, Ika and took him to the baby doctor for a check up. Lucky for us the doctor is located in Denpasar close to Dr. Zakaria's office. Before we left the house Ika was trying on a new corset, she has one for sleeping and needs a different one for walking. It's cool as we have both brothers over at the house together with Ningrum, Ika's sister. Her mother came with us to the doctor. This morning Ika's auntie Daisy came over to bathe Jevon. He's lucky to have so many of his relatives want to take care of him. A week after the birth on Jevon Ika and I had to pay a return visit to Puri Bunda for a check up and a Hepatitis B shot. This was included in the cost of the birth.

We arrived around 8pm and the place was fairly busy. After a 20-minute wait we were in front of the doctor, who while wearing jeans and t-shirt, was very nice. He and the nurse administered the shot, to which Jevon reacted with a short scream and a few tears. When placed in my arms h stopped and started smiling. A little rocking keeps him happy and we took a cab over to Jl. Gatut Subroto to Dr. Zakaria's office. Our visit here cost 65,000rp and after checking Ika's blood pressure and weight Dr. Zakaria checked her stitches. One of them has pulled a bit causing pain so he gave her some 'baby safe' antibiotics and told her not to walk upstairs for a while. I actually enjoyed sitting in his waiting room looking at all he other pregnant couples. We've done all that and now have to concentrate on his development, the best part.

Beautiful foto mate. Ika is truly radiant.

Jan,

Yes Jvon’s future is going to be interesting. He’ll be his own unique person.

Barrie, yes that’s Ningrum, remember the one you said was ‘unresponsive’.

G’Day Nick,

Second look, yeah!. Hey, you should have been careful writing “the one you said was ‘unresponsive’” because it will give people ideas!. Heck, I’m a good boy! - I think!.
