A day in Seminyak Bali

Lunchtime today I walked over to Warung Mimpi for some nasi campur (mixed rice). My meal was 20,000 rp which included a watermelon juice. Mimpi is located on Jl. Dhyana Pura, super handy for me and the people are very nice.

After lunch I walked home and would you believe it, Ika, Ana, Desi and Jevon had all taken off to who knows where. Without my keys I was up the creek without a paddle. My phone was also inside. Walking back to Dhyana Pura I stopped into an internet cafe, which was full, the one down the street had no connection. Back at the house I contemplated borrowing a ladder to scale the 10 ft high wall, but didn’t like the look of the barbed wire, plus a broken ankle isn’t my idea of a good time. After maybe 20 minutes they all arrived bearing bags of food.

The best thing to do in these little stress situations is not to act rashly, but sit back and be patient. Whenever I’m in one of those situations I try to remember 4 little letters, WWSD. It stands for ‘what would Sean do?’ He would take the smart route so I try to reign in my actions a bit and wait out a situation.

Mate,

This cracked me up bigtime. But the part about chilling out, and doing the best you can with the resources at hand is definately true. If it was time to chill, it was time to chill!…rock on bro.

I think I will opt for WWDD. It’s what would Dave do.
