Writing from Ubud Bali

This short post is coming from Highway internet cafe on Jl. Raya Ubud.

Last night I was cut off making a post in Kerobokan, loss of connection and had to finish it off today.

My friend Mike and his wife Priska live on the main road to Tampaksiring and I’ll be up there in about an hour from now.

Great connection here at Highway but rather spendy at 450rp per minute.

I’m resisting the great food places in Ubud in anticipation of the food at the house, Priska used to do a Balinese catering business in California.

Photos coming tomorrow.

Speaking of tommorrow the Kuningan celebration will happen at auspicious places on the coast including Serangan. This is the day where ancestors return to Earth and is extremely important for Balinese. Visitors can attend ceremonies as I did last year at Seranagan.

G’Day Folks,

An absurd article in today’s Jakrta Post regarding DNA’ing Orang Utans:

Geez, next thing they’ll want to know what tree they lived in before they emigrated!
