Monday morning here in Seminyak Bali we got up and put the coffee pot on. I keep a bag of Bali blend coffee in the freezer that I bought at Bintang supermarket.
Its suprisingly good, in fact Patrice from France said it was good….enough said.
Chris and I sat out back then took care of of some software stuff.
As we were about to leave Nyoman, the owner of the bike Chris is renting showed up and said he’d take the bike back now. We were going to fill the tank for him and then return, but he said no worries. I like that and I’ll definitely use him again.
This contrasts with a local Padang place we went to the other day where I have eaten a few times. They have a sign up saying ‘2 choices 3,000rp’. You choose items ranging from fish, chicken , vegetables, egg and get a large portion of rice. I’ve been here before and know the drill. Once before I added half a scoop of greens to my selection and the guy charged me 5,000rp. I played dumb to see what he would do. This time I made 2 selections, Chris 3. Price 10,000rp. I told the guy I knew what the price was and pointed to the sign, he gave a line of bullshit so I paid and left. Won’t be back here.
We went to Global Xtreme on my bike and spent an hour jamming through mail and other stuff. Connection speeds have been quite decent here lately.
Now at Internet Outpost in Kuta with Barrie and Chandika waiting to go to lunch with Chris who is doing last minute shopping.

HI Nick,
I’ll be with my girlfriend this weekend to Bali- Kuta. Since you’re there so recent, thought u could offer some tips.. are there any places to avoid, or a definite must-go? Is it safe for 2 ladies to roam then? What are some activities you’d suggest we do?
Would be grateful to hear from you.
cheerz.
