Friday morning my house in Seminyak was a hive of activity.

I had arranged with the owner Nyoman to pay her 5m rp everyday for the next 5 days for another years lease. We also have an agreement to paint the house and right away 2 ladies came over with brushes ready to get to work. They used an extra long dusting brush as an extension to reach the high places.
The day before I had ridden over to a paintshop on upper Jl. Seminyak noth of Cafe Moka, same side, and picked up 2 cans of white paint for 96,000rp.
Ikas friend Komang who is from Denpasar came over today around lunch time. They both want to visit friends and workout in the gym I go to, Hammerhead in Legian. Since I strained my back I have been there one time and am thankful nothing serious happened last time.
Komang has signed up with a restaurant chain that has an outlet in Tokyo. She has been waiting for paperwork to be filed for over a month now and after quitting her last job at the gym is spinning her wheels waiting to leave.
At the same time the 2 ladies were busy painting the house Ikas brother Awang was busy wiring my garden lights and installing a new spotlight that will be very handy for bbqs. No more candlelight but way more convenient!
To complete the cast Wayan my pembantu showed up and started cleaning. My job was to direct everybody, making sure the ladies did not try to paint my guitar or that Awang did not string electrical cables like a washing line around the garden. I was also working on finding local businesses I can help with some advertising. Our new system means someone can promote their business on Baliblog within 15 minutes by signing up with as little as $100. They only pay when someone actually goes through to their site. Sounds great to me.
Ika is suffering from the same type of allergies as I did last year, sneezing all the time. Surprisingly I am much better. I think my trip to the US allowed my sinuses to recuperate. We will take a trip to the Eco-Lodge in the slopes of Mt Batukaru this weekend where the air is lovely and clean. Beautiful weather after during the day here in Bali.
