Wismilak tennis promo in Kuta Bali
When people visit Bali there is so much going on with the beach, the shopping, the nightlife and day trips that a lot of stuff goes unnoticed. This afternoon the truck load of cartoon characters showed up at the Bali Bombing memorial and danced around to disco music by 70's band Chic. I must say they grabbed the attention of every passerby and their truck said something about the upcoming tennis tournament on the side. Can you imagine how hot it must be in those outfits, I reckon after 20 minutes you'd be ready to faint. Anyway the Wismilak tennis tournament is starting soon (Sept 11-18) at the Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua and is part of the WTA tour. Lindsey Davenport and other famous players will be taking part.
Often in Bali you will see eccentric little promo's going on. Guinness did one in some Seminyak bars a while back and cigarette companies often do them. The best promos are the free-flow drinks provided by companies like Absolut, which often accompany the grand opening of new venues. Look out for new of these events in The Beat Mag and What's Up Bali.
