This might sounds like groping for an article, but I reckon its important to everyone who comes to Bali. The weather right now is a scorcher! If you read the newspapers, Jakarta is getting flooded as are other parts of the country. Here is Bali we have dry season conditions with totally clear blues skies, temp in the high 80f’s and easterly winds.
Sunday afternoon Ika, Jevon, Ningrum and I went to the swimming pool at Puri Cendana hotel on Jl. Dhyana Pura. The water was way warmer than usual and after a blue margarita and 3 beers, I was starting to enjoy the afternoon. Puri Cendana, like most pools has a kids pool and Jevon got to meet a little girl from France. He likes splashing around and trying to swim, but gets upset when he takes mouthful of water.
Last night after sunset I went for a walk down to the beach and saw the most beautiful sunset, it was a steamer though. How long is this great weather going to last? Well its going to be decent for at least a week with some clouds blowing in.
The 5 biggest factors that affect your holiday are: budget, transport, time, companions and weather. You may not be able to leave your wife behind, but don’t be disheartened, your budget will go a long way, and with your own transport you can explore more of the beautiful parts of Bali. The great weather allows you to fully enjoy every day of your vacation.
Here the 10 day weather forecast for Bali.

Thanks Mark. Yes I am lucky, I think though that people’s imaginations often get the beteer of them. I only went to the swimming pool because Ika wants me to do ‘family things’ on sunday. She said that meant without bringing a computer or a book.
She also told me she doesn’t think I will have mental peace when I retire after years of rushing to get stuff done. When I used to deliver bread in California my route took me 130 miles north of Santa Barbara and back around via the coast. But I hardly noticed the view becasue I was so busy driving and delivering. I think its the same here to be honest, and I should do more interesting things.
Nick i have said to people that constantly moan and put things off till a later date to go out and make those things happen now as like it or not life is short and every day should be taken and embraced.
On e thing about you Nick is that you are in your own little paradise living life out to the full. All right you could have more Nick, but you seem to be glad with your lot anyway and the main thing is you are happy and content.
I have got to admit as i sit hear on a dreary damp London morning i could just picture you sipping a cocktail by a lovely pool in nice balmy weather. Go for it kiddo !
Rgds Mark
