Weather Bali January

January is the height of the wet season in Bali and this is the case for all of western Indonesia. The eastern part of the country, Maluku, Irian Jaya etc. has an entirely different seasonal schedule. Right now in that part of the country its dry and sunny.

For visitors to Bali, January will offer the following: The southern part of Bali, including Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur & Nus Dua, will get average temperatures of 28C and rainfall of about 395mm. The Ubud area will get average temperatures of around 27C and rainfall of 415mm. Lovina & Singaraja on the north coast will get average temperatures of 27C and rainfall of 320mm. Kintamani in the highlands will get average temperatures of 22C and rainfall of 445mm.

As you ascend it gets cooler and wetter. This morning we had a quick shower at 7am and now the sun is shining with patchy cloud. March is considered the end of the wet season.

Nick,
based on your article, what month(s) do you suggest to visit Bali?
No rain, not too hot, good deal in hotels, not too crowded.

thanks.
