Vincent & Akari are checking out the housing scene in Seminyak

Tuesday in Seminyak I had just returned from Global Xtreme internet cafe in Kerobokan and as I was heading down my street saw Vincent and Akari strolling along.

They had just been to Bali Land & Houses around the corner and Made had shown them some very nice places including one place opposite Woodstock bar on Jalan Oberoi that had a rectangular pool the entire length of the house. With all the creature comforts right here why would you want to move out into the boonies? That’s the big question and later this week they will take a trip out to Karangasem to stay with friends.

I recommended Vincent and Akari check out the bulletin board at Krakatoa Cafe and Global and said that Mimi and Hengky are such cool people for expats to know its worth the trip.

Vincent and Akari are basically looking for a small villa and in my area there are plenty. My prediction is they end up with a simple place out on the east coast and a nicer place here in town. One funny thing was they had actually visited the house next to mine which has become vacant recently.

Weather is lovely again and hoping my insides calm down so I can enjoy it.

G’Day Nick & Everybody,

Just got word from my Writers Centre about the latest and deadliest virus on the net.

It comes direct (no attachment)to your inbox, and if opened destroys the C Drive – All dll files.

Subject is: WTC Survivor

Be careful folks because this can come from a friend or similar.

Make sure you delete the bastard!.

Just out of interest, how much do these places go for in Bali, a nice place with a pool that is?

Nick,
Hope you are starting to feel better.
Make sure you have plenty of fluids, do you have any of that ‘pocari sweat’ on hand, or ‘Cap kaki tiga’… These are good for rehydration….
Take Care, buddy…. XXXXXXX

Sima,

Wow, great to hear from you after what feels a long time. A lot of questions, I’ll e-mail you with the answers.

Stevie. I paid 35 million rupiah a year for my house which is 2 bedroom, 2 bath room, kitchen, lounge area under outside roof. That’s about $4,122 on recent conversion rates.

The place Vincent was looking at might of been double that I’m not sure but there are places, apartments with a shared pool for somewhere equivalent to mine I think. We’ll get Vinnie to give us the low down on ther property market when he gets the time.

Tracey. Thanks for the advice, feeling much better ( only 3 trips today).
