Rainy overcast day today. I stayed in the house doing some tidying up some on my machine. Loose ends like business cards and bills get left on my desk and once in a while I have to deal with them.
No events today at the Kuta Karnival. Tommorrow at the Hard Rock Hotel at 7pm is the Ladies Dance Show and Muscle Show. Traditional Balinese dancing can be seen on Pantai Kuta next to the lifeguard tower at sunset.
I read an article that suggested GW Bush may be coming here in the next few weeks. Personally this is one tourist I wish would stay at home in Texas.
On a personal note, my hiccups have gone and my stomach is back to normal. Hooray!

Sure Mary, I’d give Bush a tour of the island on the back of my bike at top speed.
The reason I’d prefer he stay at home is that he’s not here to appreciate the place or the people, merely to put another background behind his ‘double speak’ for the world’s press. We don’t need that here.
Bush is meant to be coming to London in November for a state visit, which is ok by me but I would have thought his public relations people would have advised against it because the anti-war brigade will be out in force dogging his every move.

Bali Extreme Surf Week is on now, with action at Kuta beach most days - surf contests, skate contests, big-screen surf movies at sunset, live bands etc - http:///www.gokuta.com/x-treme/e_xtreme.htm
Where excatly did Bush & Megawatti do there summit. Was it at the Ritz 4 season? Could not find it anywhere..
Perhaps you could give him a Nick tour of the island - if you could get anywhere near him.
I’m interested in knowing why you’d rather Bush stay home.
