Todays Word of the Day is Useful Phrases

In most guidebooks you will find a section about Bahasa Indonesia and selected phrases which you can learn and put in to practice on your travels - once you have memorised them that is&33;. So, I browsed through my selection of guidebooks and selected the guidebook with the best useful phrases - Bali Handbook by Bill Dalton.
In all the guidebooks, the phrases are sectionalised for different usage. Here is a good selection from 'The Restaurant'.

I am hungry. I am going to a Restaurant-Saya lapar. Saya akan pergi ke restoran.

Where is a good restaurant-Restoran mana yang baik.

Lets have lunch-Mari kita makan siang.

Give me tea instead of coffee-Berilah saya the untuk gantinya kopi.

May I see the menu-Boleh saya daftar makanan.

I am thirsty-Saya haus.

Is this water drinkable-Apa air ini bisa diminum

Don’t make it too spicy-Jangan terlalu pedas.

Lets have some satay-Mari kita makan sate.

Bring us some hot chilli sauce-Bawakan kami sambal.

Can we stop for lunch-Dapatkah kita berhenti untuk makan siang.

This is the best foodstall here-Ini warung yang terbaik disini.

I am a vegetarian-Saya seorang vegetaris.

I don’t eat any meat-Saya tidak makan daging-dagingan.

What time is breakfast-Jam berapa waktu makan pagi.

I want to wash my hands-Saya mau cuci tangan.
