Example:

Hampir satu abad-Close to a century.
Hampir saja-Very close to something bad happening.
Saya hamper saja mati-I came very close to dying.
Berhampiran: Be near to each other.
Example:
Rumah saya berhampiran dengan sekolah saya-My house is near to my school.
Menghampir: Approach, Come near.
Example:
Langkahnya menghampir-His steps came closer.
Menghampiri: Approach, Come close to.
Example:
Ia menghampiri ayahnya-She approached her father.
Menghampirkan: Bring something near.
Example:
Menghampirkan gelas itu padanya-Move the glass closer to him.
Terhampir: Nearest.
Hampiran: Vicinity, Neighbourhood.
Penghampiran: Approach, Coming close to something.
