hey jet… thats my favourite too, my Balinese friends taught me this it’s spelt “Kasihan deh lu?” and the reply is “Biarin dett!!”

G’Day Nick,
This daily language posting is getting better!. Not only do we have Bahasa Indo but also Bahasa Bali.
Great!
Hi Jet & Kylie,
Whenever my wife complains or whinges, I just smile and say ‘Tutup mulut’ (Shutup!).
This usually brings a smile to her face and then I cop a verbal barage of a mixture of Bahasa Jawa/Cina (Sweetly of course!)
Barrie, after the verbal barrages have finished make you sure say ’selamat tidur dan mimpi indah’ before going to sleep that night.
G’Day Nick,
Who goes to sleep!.
Nick/Barrie
You lads really areserious about your Bali-blog Indo/Bahasa lessons.Well good on you
both….What Nick everytime you trip up with a bit of the Bali Lingo old Bazza Boy is theretopick you up Nick and push you back over again. Hee HEE..only joking Barrie, i know how keen you really are to make sure all Bloggers understand more than the usual key words in my Bali Lingo. Guess what they are Barrie?
Bintang / Please Thanks/ Another Please.
I bet you guessed Barrie eh?
Regards Mark
Bazza, I often say Tutup mulut too!
Went & bought my books on Thursday after work & boughT maddy a Barong Jogsaw puzzle & a poster in English/Indo for body parts & senses!
Good for both of us, I am going to get her Di Toko & Di Kelas, to help us both out…
My new word is Kasian Dello. Not sure of the spelling, but when you say it you need to make a downward wave motion w/ your index finger and this will translate to roughly “oh poor baby”. Very effective when someone is complaining or whining. Jet
