This Thursday I did my daily tour of the best internet cafes. Firstly Global and their huge coffees were on the menu while I was editing a hotel report.
Then I rode down the bypass to Kuta and carried on for a couple more hours at Internet outpost on Poppies II.
I wanted to meet the marketing manager of Blue Bird Taxi but the phone method just wasn’t working ( no one answers, then finally the person who does can’t understand what I’m asking ). I want to do some co-promotion with them and after waiting finally said ’screw it I’m going down there’. They are located on the bypass in Nusa Dua and their lot is very visible because of the number of light blue taxis around.
The guy I need is out but I have an appointment tommorrow….if he comes to the office the lady said.
Back in Kuta I chatted with Barrie and Candika. She flies out to Yogya tommorrow morning at 6am, Barrie to Perth that evening. Its been great getting to know them both and I hope Barrie makes it back to keep putting up review of his favourite places.
Got an sms message from Ika who was on her way from Denpasar to the airport at 6pm to fly out to Miami for her big cruise job. Her mum and dad had a chat with her and told her not to ‘jump ship’ in America like many Indonesians do. I hope she doesn’t and think she can make okay money selling sarongs and some jewelry.
Internet Outpost is doing some business here I can tell you. Sometimes its hard to get a seat! The owner must be licking his lips.
I’m hearing more voices from N.America these days, also the general number of people around is up. Good signs all round.

Just wanted to say “Thanks” for your contribution on Bali Blog while you were up in Bali. I have really enjoyed your restaurant reviews and postings on here. Are you in the travel or hospitality industry here in Perth ? Be ready for cold weather upon your return tonight…….. The average min. has been about 2 - 3 degrees celsius the last few nights.

Thanks heaps for your lovely comments. It is hard sometimes doing restoran reviews (believe it or not!) cos you have to make a judgement on the day of your visit. Sometimes that restoran might be having a hard time at that particular time. But hey, I ALWAYS return to the restorans in all fairness. Yes, I will be doing more work on the blog and will be returning to Bali soon.
Ann, I am a freelance writer by profession and write travel articles etc for numerous mags/internet etc. Hey, I received an email from my sister this morning and she already informed me it was Polar Bear weather in Perth!. I’ve been reading a lot about the Sari Club, and I’m curious, do you have any pictures of what it looked like inside?
I am a bar owner, and the Sari Club seemed wildly popular, and I’m trying to get a grasp of what the interior looked like.
