The Beat Magazine: A partier's guide to Bali

People come to Bali for a good time and navigating the array of restaurants, bars, clubs and events can be tricky. Fortunately there is The Beat, a locally made magazine that comes out every 2 weeks highlighting what has gone on before and what will be happening soon.

The Beat is billed as 'Bali & Java's Biweekly Entertainment Gig Guide'. It is available free at many Circle K's and other high traffic places. The Beat features some great photography both is advertisements and in it's reporting of local events. The magazine is broken down into: What's going on, Fashion, Beat Low Down, Gizmo, CD Review, Food Section, Movie, Astro Guide, Food Guide, Shop Guide, Art Section, Accommodation in Bali, Jakarta Section. The Beat has got a lot thicker over the last 2 years adding more sections and now has 158 pages. They also have a website.

Nightlife is the specialty though and if you are into the cutting edge scene, there's no better place to get clued up on it than The Beat.
