The Bali Arts Festival in Denpasar Bali

The Bali Arts Festival in Denpasar has been going for a while and has a few more days left. It focuses on traditional arts, dance etc and attracts a mostly local audience. I attended last year and the atmosphere reminded me of a fun fair, with every nick nack vendor you could possibly imagine competing to sell their goods.

The cool thing is the festival attracts groups of participants from all over Bali and they often set up booths, displaying the local variations of costume, knives, decorations etc. Here is the schedule of events and I would say its pays to plan your visit around the schedule as there are long waits between events.
