Terrorists recruiting new leaders says SBY

Indonesian President SBY said today that JI (Jemaah Islamiyah) is busy recruiting new leaders. Let’s hope they are of the same caliber as the last group.

Most of the people who become suicide bombers, or involved in terror attacks are low income people, with no proper education, skills, world view or the ability to think independently. They are easily controlled by radical religious scholars and terror planners. Since the November shooting of Dr. Azahari, the architect of the first Bali bomb, JI has been a bit splintered.

SBY talked about the need to keep learning about the terrorists and keep adapting. I say why not round up a few probables and ask them nicely to spill the beans. Razzing westerners for money never seems to be a problem for the cops, why not put some of that extra energy in looking for terrorists.
