This morning I went to get a haircut at New Planet (formerly Monkey Planet) on Jl. Seminyak. On the way there I stopped into Cafe Moka for a coffee and bumped into a guy called Dave Collyer from California who has been living in Bali for a while. Dave is a photographer from Florida who specializes in surf photography. I always used to see him down at Internet Outpost in Kuta.
Dave has an interesting past and has a couple of websites, including SickShots.com
He sometimes gets hired by individuals or magazines for photo shoots and is doing it his way. Good luck to him. We chatted about web stuff (what else do I ever get to talk about in Cafe Moka) and he said he just got back from the Mentawai's up in Sumatra as the surf was a bit flat cup there.
Exciting lifestyle if you can make it work, spending time at some of the best surfing locations in the world.
