Sunny Tuesday Oct 21st In Kerobokan Bali
Here I am at Global Xtreme internet cafe in Kerobokan getting on with answering e-mails and connecting with people.
I am hurrying because Vincent and Akari are coming to my house in a couple of hours to pick me up. We’re going to a pub is Sanur that is run by the British Consul. I’d expect nothing less from an employee of Her Majesty. The Consulate is actually in the pub from what I hear!
Tonight is Irish music night and this guy is supposed to play. Can’t wait to see it.
Just another great lunch at Warung Gossip…love that place! If you haven’t been there you take the road opposite the jail for 3 minutes and its on the right. Javanese food and friendly staff ( I got my lunch bought for me once).
Tommorrow the US President GW Bush arrives and will spend about 4 hours meeting the Indonesian President and other high ranking Muslim leaders.
I read an article about his security measures which include 5,000 Indonesian police, a special rapid responce force, 4 fighter planes and 2 Indonesian warships. He will be bringing his own posse too, the USS Essex, attack helicopters, a Marine detachment as well as the Secret Service. I don’t think a local mosquito could get near him let alone a terrorist.
There was a lot of press about the meetings being held at the Ritz, but a local contact told me a hotel adjacent to the airport would most likely be used.
I hope he get to enjoy the waves as he’s flying in, its one of the joys of coming to Bali.

Bush is coming to Waikiki on Thursday PM to go to a fundraising convention for Bush-Cheney 2004.
I’m going to tell him to go for a swim since we just had a bunch of box jellies wash up on the beach.

Big ass Tiger Sharks will swim around from time to time.
I’m just pissed cause I live in Waikiki and the traffic is so bad there anyway.
It’s going to be a nightmare when the Bush gang get here.
I should’ve called Bush and at least told himt to bring me some Nasi Campur and a pizza from Warung 96 with a cold watermelon juice.
