I managed to get some sleep last after the French / Italian techno party at the neighbors house died down .
Night life here in Seminyak kicks off late with a lot of people going out at 11pm - 12am. These folks were winding up for a big one and it was at least something of a challenge to the other side where the Balinese and their assortment of cats, dogs and chickens keep us entertained during dark hours.
A lovely day here in Kuta and Internet Outpost isn’t busy at all.
I’m trying to buy a plane ticket to Bangkok and the most reliable travel agent Okie House on Poppies II has done some searching for me. As luck would have it the day I want to go is completely booked on Garuda as well as the day before. My other option Royal Brunei flies the day before but only return once a week!
These are some of the hurdles you have to deal with when getting around out here.
A friend of mine sms’d me last night and said she was going to the Hard Rock Hotel. I was very glad to hear no bad news this morning in regard to terrorist activity. Let me tell you I won’t be going anywhere near that place on Friday or Saturday nights.
Here’s an article from the Jakarta Post.
Another friend who is getting married to a Balinese invited me for dinner later and a chance to meet her. When this wedding goes off it promises to be a big one as the girl is from a wealthy family, we’ll see if I can document it for everyone.

Aloha All,
I found the following post on LP’s Thorn Tree.
Cheers for those Balinese Policemen!

The last laugh on Amrosi
I had to laugh when I heard this. I have a good friend who works for the police in Denpasar where Amrozi is held each night. For the past few months they have been putting pigs blood and pigs fat into all his food, and then telling him it is OK food for Muslims to eat. So Amrozi has been dining on pig meat for ages and doesn’t even know it. And according to my good firends, until he dies the fare won’t change!
So poor old Amrozi is not going to be greeted by Allah at all after the bullet enters his skull. Now that is justice. I always knew the Balinese were very subtle gentle people and now I know it more!
