Sunny today in Seminyak Bali. We went to Nusa Dua and it was equally sunny there, as was it it Tuban, Kuta and Legian.

In fact fact the whole south coast of Bali from Medewi all the way to Candi Dasa enjoyed blazing sunshine, Probably the north coast of Bali at Lovina too.

Here’s the 10 day weather forecast for Bali.

Sunny day in Seminyak Bali

by Nick on March 11, 2006

Saturday here in Seminyak I was recovering from Friday night. Working out more and not drinking is a great, but when I have a drink it hits me harder. After Blue Ocean I went down to Santa Fe and at the counter chatted with 2 German tourists for an hour. Man those arak madu’s slip down easy!

The sun was scorching today and Ika, Jevon, Ana and Awang were all out on the porch, sitting ironing, playing or just relaxing. I was in my room upstairs trying to get the energy to sit upright. A trip to Cafe Moka got me on the right track. My hangover cure is a Thon sandwich (foot long, with boiled egg, tuna, lettuce, mayo, tomato) and a banana lassi. THe bill was 35,000rp. Al that protein and sugar jump started my guts
into life and I was gaining in energy.

Good health is something we take for granted, but in Bali people can get side-swiped with long lasting illness. A friend of mine has had a debilitating illness for over a week now. He gets fevers, has zero energy and has a tightness in his chest where he has to cough all the time. I went to Bali Deli and delivered him a large tub of natural yogurt at his request plus a blueberry cheesecake. Hope he feels better.

Friends of mine have had the flu for a month straight before and I think here in the tropics that is how old people finally fade away. You get sick, it won’t go away, you can’t afford decent medical treatment and you basically just fizzle out.

If you are coming to Bali think about getting some health insurance.

Sunny day in Seminyak Bali

A lovely sunny day we had today in Seminyak and Kuta. It was not too windy and for those winter season people hoping for a chance to get a suntan, you got your money’s worth.

Its raining right now (9pm) and is predicted to be wet for the next 10 days. This can always change though. Here’s the 10 day weather forecast for Bali.

Nick why not a photo of the beautiful day? Remember you are our little glimpse into what is happening there right now.

So, is it worth coming to Bali in the beginning of February? I’m planning to come for 2 weeks, but I don’t like the idea of constant rains throughout the day. Anybody knows if this rains will stop? Thanks ))

Marina Its not worth the risk. Almost guaranteed wet wet weather with short breaks of sunshine. Also the place will be dead as well as soggy. Better to leave your trip until late March/early April

Marina, I ABSOLUTELY think Feb. is one of the BEST times to go to Bali…if you like low seasons. Yes, there are afternoon showers for an hour or two, which are great, they cool the place down and after a day or two, the timing is predictable. And if by “dead” that means you like few tourists, empty (and cheap) hotels, little traffic on the roads, friendly locals who will appreciate your business, well that’s about as good as it gets on Bali. Another great time: October, for the same reasons!
