Sunny afternoon in Sanur Bali

Sanur is the first area in Bali to have resort hotels and I have not explored it that much.

Located 20 minutes from Kuta along the Bypass Sanur is a low key area of mid range and higher level hotels. A friend took me to a beach restaurant a couple of weeks ago and I must admit the area feels less tacky than Kuta and less impossing than Seminyak as far as the number of foreigners who live there.

I was tryng to locate new internet cafes to do promotions with and was quite successful. Some of the lanes in Sanur are very pleasant and even though the beach isn’t the greatest I can see having a relaxing time here.

There is an array of gift shops and restaurants, many have their branches in the Legian / Seminyak area ( Ryoshi, Gateway to India etc. ).

I rode down Jl. Segara Ayu to the beach and got a good view of the Grand Bali Beach, Bali’s first large scale hotel.

The tide was out the beach side bars were empty, getting ready for the early evening crowds as I took the photos.

One lady from France told me I should change my web site into French because they are the only ones in Bali.

I am putting stickers up in internet cafes and after returning to a previously visited cafe saw that the owner had taken my stickers down and replaced them with his own stickers advertising his art gallery…in exactly the same style! It was like he transfered the info onto my sticker and changed the color.

Stay tuned for my updated Sanur internet cafe guide.

Kuta tourists. If you are in need of a break Sanur might work for an afternoon and for dinner. Not much nightlife though.

G’daY Nick,

See what you mean about the beaches!.

Judging by the foto of the Grand Bali Beach Hotel, the beaches in Sanur aren’t a patch on those in Kuta.

The guy has a nerve plagiarising your sticker design!
