Sunday morning after the bombs in Bali

Sunday morning things were moving along in Seminyak. If you had just arrived you wouldn't know anything had happened here. On a person level I don't feel uncomfortable in this present climate. Coming from London we grew up with random bombs going off and the place where I used to work in Central London used to be evacuated about once year, bomb nets hanging down the side of the building. It was normal after a while.

Ika told me that her brother, Awang was in Kuta Square last night with his buddies. One of them was sick so they went home. On the way home they heard about the bombings and some of them went to Sanglah hospital to look at the injured. Awang said he saw a head, without its owner, he thoguht it was a Korean person. Ika was lucky in the Sari Club bombing back in 2002. She lived with her borther and sister on Poppies II and was in a taxi with Ningrum, 4 cars back from Jl. Legian, 20 meters from the Sari Club. The only thing that saved them was the strongly built Aloha Surf shop that was between them and the explosion.

The internet cafe I am using right on on Jl. Dhyana Pura is packed with Euros emailing mummy. Andy walker just appeared and we will go for a bite. Most Balinese I talk to just say "Ada bom." (Have bomb). I think in this part of the world when stuff happens people look at it like 'some people died and I made it'.

The first at Jimbaran Beach in Nyoman Restaurant, the second in Kuta at Raja Restaurant, the third in Jimbaran Beach in a restaurant next to Nyoman Restaurant.
At around 19:30 local time.

Where abouts is Raja Restaurant exactly? Right next to McDonalds/Matahari, or on the other side where Bemo corner is?

3 suicide bombers. 2 in Jimbaran 100 meters apart. One place was Nyoman’s. don’t know other place.

In Kuta it was on the second floor of Raja’s in Kuta
Square, off of Jl. Pantai Kuta.

Nick, I’m glad to hear that you and your family are safe. I only just heard of the bombing now. (Sunday afternoon London time). Been trying to get a hold of your brother. Hopefully we can meet up.

Take care and see you soon.

The bomns were no suprise. Read my blog and see the facts as they are. When the people and government of Indonesia are supporting terrorists these things will happen. The fact hat the boss of the first bomb just got 18 months for planning the attack is proof enough of this.
Muslims in their thousands rioted in Indonesia at the reports of US soldiers damaging the Koran but nobody rioted today to protest the murder of infidels (their words) by terrorists last night. Islam is nothing more than a dangerous superstition and is not a great religion of peace at all. Please show me an Islam country that tolerates other religions…. there isn’t one… (inc Indonesia with Judaism outlawed and Churches subjest to unique planning laws)however in all Christian countries Islam is allowed to flourish.
I am not a Christian just a human who moved my family from Bali before the first bomb as it was so predictable…. as was the second… and so will be the third. Peace!

Isn’t it ironic that these suicide bombers have been brainwashed and promised they would gain immediate entry into paradise by blowing themselves up as martyrs, only to end up in the deepest pit of hell to burn and be tormented forever and ever?

please dont be naive..conspiracy theory is very common now. US doesnt attack Iraq for democracy..but for OIL.

same goes to Bali..why the bomber not prosecuted yet till now..because we know…its not them who did it. it could be US and his gang. what for..? to put more bad image to muslim people.

Actually Raja is not right next to the McDonald’s, but on the same side of the street. It’s across from the first Polo shop on the opposite side, coming in from the Hard Rock Store entrance to the mall. It’s closer to the KFC than McD.
