Sun Silver: Celuk Bali

Parking in the lot of Sun Silver to check out the birds and the boiled egg, I felt obliged to at least stick my head in the door and show interest. Sun is located on the left side of the street heading east and is a decent sized shop. The front counter had silver bracelets and I asked the fellow working the prices. He told me silver bracelets that were plain, were 3,700rp per gram, bracelets with a stone were 3,900rp per gram. I don’t know anything about silver, stones or designs, but clearly you’ll have to do some homework if you plan on buying a lot. He didn’t say what the stones were.

Celuk has the reputation of doing some good work and different people have told me their experience was good, with the people there not pushy at all. Sun Silver is open daily 9am-5pm. The staff told me they close for special religious events. You can get to Celuk is about 40 minutes from Kuta.
