Starbucks is a world famous chain of coffee shops and there is one here in Bali on Jl. Pantai Kuta close to the beach.
I haven’t been in the place before and decide to see what it had to offer.
This place has outside seating which is pleasant and a somewhat small seating area inside. There’s more room upstairs.
I was snapping away when a staff member told me to stop so I can’t promote them as much as I was hoping to.
The drink list features the usual coffee menu and prices are as follows (prices are in thousands).
Latte: Small 18, Medium 20.5, Large 24.5
Mocha: S 21, M 23.5, L 24.5
Cappuccino: S 16.5, M 19, L 23.5
Coffee of the day: S 12, M 15, L 17.5
Tazo tea: S 13.5, M 13.5, L 18
There are also bags of coffee for sale.
Mild – Colombian
Smooth – Estate Java
Bold – Sumatran
The place is air con and if the heat and traffic are getting to you Starbucks might be an island of America for you.

With those prices, they need all the promotion they can get!
Fremantle is cheaper than that.
Yeah - a Large Latte is about $3 US when you convert….not that much better than the Starbuck’s a stone’s throw from the BootsnAll HQ.
Nick, if you find other coffee, expresso shops, let us know…then again, not sure how often I want a steaming hot cuppa joe when it is hot/humid outside.
Hi Nick/
These American chain Coffee
Shops are a complete and utter rip off.
As you know they are every 50m in London. Average price per cup or should i say minumum is £2. Now your not
telling me that it costs that much to produce. Now i know they have all the other extras included in the cost, but i would say a fairer price would be £1.
It really annoys me when i see a queue of people sometimes in the morning waiting to be ripped off. Now charging these prices in Bali when there is such a vast aray of alternative value for money choices to be made…..well we will see eh! I hope it does not take off, i mean theres a big diff between a cold morning in London and tropical Bali and a hell of a lot more choices of valuee to boot….where some miserable tosser does not mind you taking a harmless snap of the joint. Anyway Nick i hope that was the last bit of custom you gave Starfucks.
Enjoy…Mark

Going back quite a few years, there was a very pleasant coffee and cake cafe, on a quiet corner, not too far from Dyhana Pura.
I don’t remember the prices, but they must have been OK, because we kept going back.
But, how about this, they were smoke-free! There was a notice to that effect on the door, no-one argued, and the smokers sat outside, in the very pleasant garden area.
We only ever stayed in that area once, so I don’t know if it’s still there.
I like Starbucks here in Melbourne. The coffee is good but not great. I don’t really care how much it costs because I make a lot. A couple of bucks difference is chump change.
G’Day Nick,
Good to see ya got the numbers wired!. Starbucks was just near the grand opening stage when I left. However, give me street coffee from the kaki lima any day!.
Does Starbucks sell ‘Arabica’?
