I am sitting in front of my machine wondering what I am going to write. I have just come from a sports bar on Jl. Seminyak where I are Rendang Bali (beef in spicy sauce for around 25,000rp). While there I watched Chelsea hammer WBA in the English Premier League. I hate Chelsea, they have bought 2 teams worth of good players and showboat how easy thy can beat lower teams. Their days at the bottom of the pile will come again so enjoy this brief moment of success Chelsea fans.
Here in Bali people are very familiar with soccer, especially English soccer. The young waitress asked if I supported Wee Beh Ah (WBA) and I told her in this case, yes. Many of the newer bars have big screens in Seminyak realizing that you don't always need good food to attract a crowd. One of the best places is Stadium Padma, in Legian and another is upstairs at Double D, also in Legian.

G’Day Nick,
I’m of the same opinion as you regarding Chelsea. Any team that can beat them during the season I will applaud.
Let’s Hope Arsenal & MU give the ‘greasers’ a thrashing!
Nick, while you were on the topic of Sports Bars
I dont know if u are aware that there is a terrific sports bar on Poppies 1, Kuta , it is upstairs!
Very Reasonable drinks i think a bintang cost me about Rp8000. i watched that Horrible Bloody 4th Test against the poms there……..
Well at least the first 2 days!
