Spending time at the Eco Lodge in Tabanan Bali- part II

Meeting the crew:
When I arrived at the Eco Lodge I had a 5 minute hike down form the road to the main house located on the side of the hill. From there you can see all the way to the coast. The owner, Norm Van Hoff had created a little piece of magic here in Bali. The main lounge area is open on all sides and has plenty of rooms for relaxing and entertaining. There are also a few other structures that are either complete, or in the process of being built. Norm's wife Linda is an expert in the organic food industry and also is involved with other natural remedy type products.

No one was around when I arrived, the place being fairly open, and the pembantu, working in the kitchen told me my other friends were waiting at the house of Richard, an Aussie expat, the other side of the small valley. While walking up the hill again I could see more development going on its obvious this place is going to be fantastic.

At the new house my friends Jay, Debbie,baby Sienna, Richard, Rebecca and their kids were kicking back. Jay and Richard are relaxing and enjoying the cool mountain air. Its funny these folks have the same vibe as many of the people I used to know in Oregon. You go to their house on a rainy afternoon and are greeted with smiles, a welcoming hug then a hot cup of tea and a "Join us" mentality. I of course arrive in rush mode "Sorry it took me so long to get up here, I was taking care of things, traffic, etc." Slowly I unwind and get into the mountain spirit.
