Getting there:
Getting to the Eco Lodge was fairly straight forward. The weather was rainy as I was leaving on Monday morning so I wore my hiking boots and silver poncho. The journey took me through Canggu and Tabanan city, before turning a sharp right off of the main road at the sign post for Gadungan. That road led through fertile green fields of rice all over.
I parked under the small tin shed that serves as a car port and while unraveling the cords of my day pack from the bike managed to get a pint or 2 of fresh cold water down the back of my neck. Eco Lodge is located on a loop in the back roads of the narrow lanes on the southern slope of Mt. Batukaru and this quiet, local scene is so peaceful. Man it was great to be in the mountains again!
